This larger "board" is much easier to use BUT the cost is QUITE high for such a simple device. However the game is lots of fun. The packaging indicates it is for ages 7+. But I'm not aware of any 7 year old who could play this game with any degree of competency! Our 11 year old grandson plays and is slightly better than mediocre in his ability to play! I think it is a terrific tool to learn a bit of strategy for both young and old, maybe 10+ years.
L. C. Willard Jr. - January 7, 2018
We love sequence but my mom always complains that she can't see the entire board so I bought this for her for christmas. Its a hit with everyone! The tube it comes in is a it misleading (you think its bigger than it is) but it turns out to be just the right size. I wont buy the regular board anymore once I played with this mat. Everyone noted it was much easier to take in the board and the vinal mat is easy to store.
Calli W - January 3, 2018
My niece introduced me to this game and it's addicting. Am playing with all my friends now!! This was my first time buying from Amazon warehouse and it worked out great. I don't care there is a slight stain on outside of box!!
A. Percival - November 15, 2017
Like the larger version of this game, have not played on the big board yet but played on a smaller one at some friends home and it was a blast. Like the bigger print to see better!
luckytee - December 13, 2017
Sequence is addictive. It combines luck with careful strategy. The jumbo game makes it easy for multiple players. My wife and I both think this game is great!
Richard Beck - September 4, 2017
We really enjoy this version of Sequence because it so so much easier to see the board. The only thing we don't like is the giant container it is in. We feel that the container could have been smaller and easier to handle and store.
Trudy - March 16, 2017
if you like the game this larger size is worth getting!the container tube is big for those with limited storage space when not in use.
T. Vinnie - July 14, 2017
The large mat is wonderful. I was concerned about it laying flat after being stored in the tube. I roll it right side up and it lays well. My whole family loves this game. We played with friends and they loved it so much they bought it. Our friends are the ones who found the jumbo mat.

She Writes Press. 2016 gbs preview - Jumbo Sequence in a Tube Game By University Games by Unknown

Anna Freud (1885-1982) was Sigmund Freud’s youngest daughter, and his closest emotional and intellectual companion, as well. For nearly a century now it’s been a well-kept secret that the love of Anna’s life was another woman. And that was a problem for Sigmund, who agreed with medical colleagues that lesbianism is a symptom of the medical syndrome they called “hysteria.” But Sigmund took concern about lesbianism one or two steps further than his colleagues. He considered it an actual gateway to profound mental illness. Worse (for him, regarding Anna), he said it is almost always caused by faulty fathering. HYSTERICAL: ANNA FREUD’S STORY is Anna’s “lost memoir.” In it she tells of coming of age in a household in which the stories of deeply neurotic, often sexually troubled patients were standard conversational fare. She recounts the wildly inappropriate conversion therapy imposed on her by her father. She tells of her family’s escape from the Nazis, and of their years of exile in London. These are years in which Sigmund aged and died, and in which Anna and her beloved Dorothy founded orphanages and schools for traumatized children. HYSTERICAL reads like lively, sometimes deeply moving, and occasionally even hilarious autobiography. But it’s a historical novel written by a science journalist with a wicked sense of humor, an appreciation for both Anna’s plight and that of Sigmund, and an eye and ear for the tugs of war that happen in families. As Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson, once the Projects Director of the Freud Archives, describes it, HYSTERICAL “is the book we all wish Anna Freud had had the courage to write.” HYSTERICAL has been named an “Over the Rainbow” book by the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Round The American Library Association. Author Rebecca Coffey is an award-winning journalist, documentary filmmaker, and radio commentator. Also a humorist, she is the author of NIETZSCHE’S ANGEL FOOD CAKE: And Other “Recipes” for the Intellectually Famished. “Journalist Coffey . . . presents an avidly researched, shrewd, and unnerving first novel that purports to be the lost autobiography of Anna Freud. . . . Coffey offers some truly shocking disclosures about the Freud family in this complexly entertaining, sexually dramatic, acidly funny novel of genius and absurdity, insight and delusion, independence and loyalty.”—Booklist “Like a therapy session, HYSTERICAL tunnels very deeply into Anna’s childhood experiences—thoughts, events, dreams, fantasies—and like a therapy session, the facets of what are revealed are at times disturbing and uncomfortable. Add to all that the inherent struggle between Sigmund and Anna, which twists and deepens as they both age, especially as Anna comes into her sexuality, and you’ve got a plot so rife with tension it’ll make you squirm. . . . Hysterical approaches its subject with remarkable, even agile, tenderness and understanding—Coffey gives Anna a voice, one that history has thus far not allowed her.” —LAMDA Literary “Completely absorbing and entirely believable, HYSTERICAL is both a lovely work and a treasure. This is the book we all wish Anna Freud had had the courage to write.” —Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson, author The Assault on Truth: Freud’s Suppression of the Seduction Theory and former Projects Director of The Freud Archives “Rebecca Coffey’s imagination knows no bounds. She makes you believe this is exactly the way it all happened. HYSTERICAL is sad, funny, painful, strange, outrageous, and disturbing. If we can’t have Anna’s diaries, this is the next best thing.”—Ellen Bass, author of The Courage to Heal

The Satanic Verses

Random House. 2011 gbs preview - Jumbo Sequence in a Tube Game By University Games by Unknown

One of the most controversial and acclaimed novels ever written, The Satanic Verses is Salman Rushdie’s best-known and most galvanizing book. Set in a modern world filled with both mayhem and miracles, the story begins with a bang: the terrorist bombing of a London-bound jet in midflight. Two Indian actors of opposing sensibilities fall to earth, transformed into living symbols of what is angelic and evil. This is just the initial act in a magnificent odyssey that seamlessly merges the actual with the imagined. A Madness Of Angels

Hachette UK. 2009 gbs preview - Jumbo Sequence in a Tube Game By University Games by Unknown

When a man is tired of London he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford - Samuel Johnson In fact, Dr Johnson was only half right. There is in London much more than life - there is power. It ebbs and flows with the rhythms of the city, makes runes from the alignments of ancient streets and hums with the rattle of trains and buses; it waxes and wanes with the patterns of the business day. It is a new kind of magic: urban magic. Enter a London where magicians ride the Last Train, implore favours of The Beggar King and interpret the insane wisdom of The Bag Lady. Enter a London where beings of power soar with the pigeons and scrabble with the rats, and seek insight in the half-whispered madness of the blue electric angels. Enter the London of Matthew Swift, where rival sorcerers, hidden in plain sight, do battle for the very soul of the city . . .

The Oxford History of Board Games

Oxford University Press, USA. 1999 gbs preview - Jumbo Sequence in a Tube Game By University Games by Unknown

For thousands of years, people have been planning attacks, captures, chases, and conquests - on a variety of different boards designed for an astonishing diversity of games. Today the compelling mix of strategy, skill, and chance is as strong as ever; new board games are invented almost daily, while the perennial favourites continue to attract new devotees and reveal new possibilities. The Oxford History of Board Games investigates the principles of board games throughout the ages and across the world, exploring the fascinating similarities and differences that give each its unique appeal, and drawing out the significance of game-playing as a central part of human experience - as vital to a culture as its music, dance, and tales. Beautifully illustrated and with diagrams to show the finer points of the games, this is a fascinating and accessible guide to a richly rewarding subject. In his trade-mark accessible, entertaining style, David Parlett looks at the different families of games: games based on configuration or connection, races or chases, wars or hunts, capture or blockade. He focuses mainly on traditional games, the folk entertainments that have grown up organically through the centuries, and which exhibit endless local variations, although he discusses also the commercial products that have tried, with varying degrees of success, to match their astonishing popularity. This is not primarily a how-to book, although the rules and strategies ofcertain games are discussed in detail, neither does it offer sure-fire tips for success, although with a fuller understanding of a game the reader will undoubtedly become a better-informed, if not better, player. Rather, it is an affectionate and authoritative survey of one of the most familiar parts of our cultural history, which has until now been inexplicably neglected.
