Canon EOS Rebel T6 a Scam? My Review
Canon EOS Rebel T6 Digital SLR Camera Kit with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens, Built-in WiFi and NFC - Black (Certified Refurbished)
Canon EOS Rebel T6 Digital SLR Camera Kit with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens, Built-in WiFi and NFC - Black (Certified Refurbished)
I bought this refurb because it is almost 20% less than the new one while it has the same 1 year warranty from Canon.T6 is one of the smallest and lightest DSLRs. It is a great beginner's DSLR. Takes wonderful photo.I had a canon T5 before, which has no Wi-Fi. Canon T6 replaces the Canon T5. The main differences are: Canon T6 has Wifi and a Digic 4+ processor while Canon T5 has no Wi-Wi and a basic Digic 4 processor.
So very happy with my purchase! looks brand new, camera takes great shots. Packaged well, I ordered this friday and came in the NEXT day!!
I was worried at first because it is a refurbished product but I am more than pleased with my purchase, especially since this is my first good camera. I take it everywhere with me and I am still practicing but it is a really easy camera to use and it’s easy to get the hang of!
Camera came right on time, everything that should have came with it was in the box... I love it!
This camera came in perfect condition! It was wrapped super nicely and seemed brand new. This camera is pretty easy to understand for beginners like myself. Fully automatic shooting is a great way to start before you learn about the manual controls.
LOVE my canon. I had a Nikon d3000 before and this feels like a total upgrade. (I hardly use my old camera anymore, this one is so much better.) It's great for low lighting and the price is correct. Pretty quality videos, too. I bought it refurbished but it looks and works like new.
This camera arrived in mint condition. Came with the strap, charger, cable, and battery. Takes beautiful pictures and easy to set up the WiFi connection. Everything works just fine and I am beyond excited to take more and more photos with this and get better at photography. I used to be on the edge about buying refurbished but every canon camera I’ve bought refurbished have always worked out fine.
This is my first camera ever. I decided to buy a camera for my trip to LA and San Fran coming up. I just received my package (even thought I should've gotten it yesterday..) anyways the camera is like brand new and works GREAT. I took my first two photos and I was amazed by the quality of it. It comes with the lens, strap, camera body, battery, charger and USB to transfer your photos on your computer. The best part of this camera is the wifi and how easy it is to transfer photos to your smart phone. I can post nice Pics on my social media super fast. I love it!!!!!
Canon EOS Rebel T6 Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm EF-S f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens + 58mm Wide Angle Lens + 2x Telephoto Lens + Flash + 48GB SD Memory Card + UV Filter Kit + Tripod + Full Accessory Bundle
So the piece that attracted me to this package versus the other Canon packages on Amazon was the 3 included lenses. I should have known better. It DOES come with the 1 Canon kit lens. The other 2 lenses are XIT brand and the two of them together can be purchased for less than $20. They actually make the pictures worse. Also, just to note, these are not stand alone lenses. They screw onto the front of the lens like a filter would. These are completely not usable for any kind of quality pictures. An average point and shoot camera takes higher quality pictures than you will get through these lenses. If this is your first DSLR, the kit provides a decent value. All of the components are cheap, but will give you an idea if those are things you will use and should replace with better versions. The camera itself is (so far) awesome. The camera alone would have been a 5 star purchase. The package alone would be a 2 star purchase. The way it's listed and pictured is deceptive. Overall, it's worth the $10 over just the camera, but be sure to keep your expectations low.All the included components are as follows:$10.69 xit macro lens xt58wab$8.93 xit telephoto lens xt2x58$19.75 vivitar large gadget bag$22.46 xit tripod xt60trb$4.50 vivitar 4in pocket tripod$9.16 transcend 16gb flash card$16.99 transcend 32gb flash card$8.68 xit remote shutter release$4.93 xit SD/microSD card reader$7.46 pro series digital filter set$3.95 lens cap keeper (stick on)$2.94 xit universal screen protector$3.99 xit digital ultraviolet filter$3.00 vivitar cleaning kit and card wallet$14.95 slave flashTotal accessories: $142.38$449 Canon EOS Rebel T6 Digital SLR Camera Kit with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens (Black)
Will keep this review short and simple. This is my first camera, this bundle has everything you need if you're into photography. This, in my opinion is a great camera to start learning on. Super easy to use and very high quality pictures. I've been out shooting the past few days and have taken some amazing pictures. Worth every penny! If you're thinking about buying it, do it! You won't be disappointed.
This is a great camera. Easy to use and take great pictures. The accessories are useful. However, the flash is not compatible with this camera (see alert). I read that this flash is not compatible with the camera. Therefore, they are sending accessories that are not compatible in a bundle which is not fair. Other than the accessories, this is a great camera.
If you are looking for a great entry level camera and kit for photography look no further! They say that a picture can speak a thousand words. I will let the pictures do just that.
First things first: I love the camera. I have been using it for about a month now, and it has been wonderful. It is a fantastic first time camera and does a great job at helping you learn it. The rating is due to what comes with the camera, so please beware.Pros: The SD cards alone provide good value, as they can get expensive as you need bigger cards, for a first-timer, and as long as you aren't shooting raw+jpeg like I am, you won't need anything else. Also helps to mention you get a sd card wallet and a usb reader/writer. The uv and other filters are also nice if you want to use filters in your shots, when I first started out I was using a uv filter on my kit lens. I have since bought a much better lens, and do not use a filter anymore. The cleaning kit is very handy, I have no problems there but also bought a professional cleaning kit. The mini tripod is quite cute and has been handy a few times, beware, I have had trouble getting it to hold up my camera sturdy enough with anything other than the kit lens. As stated above, the camera and everything it comes with is good. It also comes with a remote shutter which is very nice as well. I tried it out with my silly little tripod and was pleased with the result.Cons: My biggest issue with my purchase is it sounded like you are getting two extra lenses with the purchase. You're not. The picture you see of the three lenses grouped together: the bigger one is the kit lens and the two extras next to it are them. They are not lenses, they do not attach to the camera. I would call these "lens extensions", as they screw onto your kit lens like a uv filter does. They are also 100% worthless, please take it from someone who has already tried them, and then bought other lenses and compared the difference. I would upload the bad pictures they took, but have since deleted them out of my library. The bag it comes with is incredibly small, and barely fits all of your accessories, heaven forbid you go and get more equipment to add to it. I have since purchased a backpack that I can grow into, and the bag is now a spare parts bag. The bigger tripod is a cheap plastic, and while it is just fine for indoor photography and videos, I wouldn't dare use it on a windy day taking landscape shots. The flash could be a pro or con depending on your personal thoughts. It is not an ETTL, meaning that you have to manually adjust your settings to match the flash and how it fires, the camera will not do it for you. It also is completely stationary, it is brighter than the built-in flash, which is better for outdoor shots that you need to light up. I can imagine it would be difficult for a beginner, it was difficult for me.Conclusion: If I had known better at the time, I would have either spent less money to get a kit without "lenses" or spent a little bit more to get real lenses included in the kit. The camera itself and the SD cards provide wonderful value, but I would not make this purchase again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I highly recommend this product!I am no pro when it comes to photography, but I do want my own slr and want to learn! This is perfect for a beginner like me, it came with so much accessories. Love it!It came in a box, of course! Lol see picture below, everything has its own case. Seriously, everything a beginner would need is here.
We love this camera. I bought it for my wife and after a couple days of learning how to use it she was taking professional quality photos. The camera is easy to use and comes with everything you need to get started. The bundle package is a good deal.
Canon EOS Rebel T6 Digital SLR Camera + Canon 18-55mm EF-S f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens & EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Lens + Wide Angle Lens + 58mm 2x Lens + Slave Flash + 64GB Memory Card + Wired Remote + Bundle
The EOS Rebel T6 from Canon is a compact, sleek DSLR featuring an 18MP APS-C CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 4+ image processor. Combined, these two technologies avail rich image quality with reduced noise, along with a native sensitivity range of ISO 100-6400 that can be further expanded to ISO 12800 to suit working in low and difficult lighting conditions. The sensor and processor also enable the ability to shoot continuously at 3 fps for photographing moving subjects, as well as recording Full HD 1080p/30 video. Benefitting shooting with the optical viewfinder, a 9-point AF system incorporates a single center cross-type AF point for increased accuracy and focusing speed, and a contrast-detection focusing system offers refined autofocus precision for shooting movies or working in live view. The rear 3.0" 920k-dot LCD offers a bright, clear image for playback and review, and built-in Wi-Fi with NFC also offers the ability to wirelessly share imagery from your camera to a linked mobile device for instant online sharing.
Super satisfied! Got everything that was in the description. Was skeptical at first, but it was totally worth buying, better deal than buying it a Best Buy or any other electronic store. Buying the camera itself was already $500+ and their bundles in store were $1000+ for the camera and EF 75-300mm lens, which cost $300 separate, a bundle not worth $1000.
The wifi option is the best feature!!! I can easily connect and transfer to my iPhone and then send to have printed or saved on Shutterfly. The pictures are so crisp and clear...I am very happy with this purchase. The camera is user friendly and any amateur (like myself) should be able to easily operate it.
This is an amazing camera. I took a lot of time in picking out a camera and finally settled on this one. I picked a real winner. I am already working in manual mode and learn so much each time I pick up the camera. The set comes with so many different things. I have not been able to use some of the lens or filers. I cannot say enough good things about this camera. If you are trying to decide don't hesitate with getting this camera, you will be happy you did.
This bundle was well thought out. Everything in it is useful for good photography. The T6 speaks for itself as being a sophisticated, yet easy to use digital camera. Service was excellent. I am all set for some great photo adventures!
Fast shipping great camera, I am a photographer but wanted something that can be affordable and to use just for family pictures. I love the light weight of the camera and the accessories got you ready to go and take amazing pics. Great for students or new photographers or families with young children like me!
It's even better than I imagined, and the price was amazing. Beyond the doubt a GREAT DEAL
Brought this camera for my birthday, so far am happy with the choice I made.
$500 bundle and the 18-55mm lens refuses to autofocus. If I put the 300mm lens or any use one of the wide angle lenses in addition to the 18-55mm, it works fine. Only using the lens by itself does it act up. Researching shows me this is a junk lens and many people are having issues with it. 1 star for now until seller responds with a solution. For $500, I should be able to use my camera without hassle and this is only day 2 with it. Making me very nervous that a product at this price point can be so finnicky.Jan 2nd Edit: Seller contacted me and told me to call Nikon "as it might be a setting issue". Super awesome since this is a Canon T6. Regardless, the camera works fine with my buddies STM lens and all of the other included lens' and I have factory reset the device and all settings back to default but the 18-55mm lens will not manual ot auto focus no matter the conditions.Jan 2nd second edit:. Tried the "snap ring" trick and now it's focusing again. Not sure what to think of this lens but I ordered the STM lens just incase this is not a permanent fix. Updating to 3 stars as the camera and bundle is well worth the price. Removed 2 stars for customer service being below par and the fact the lens already had an issue.
Canon EOS Rebel T6 Digital SLR Camera with Canon EF-S 18-55mm Image Stabilization II Lens, Sandisk 32GB SDHC Memory Cards, Accessory Bundle
This Canon Camera Bundle Includes:
Everything was included just as in the picture. The camera came in a sealed Canon box, and all appeared to be right from the factory. The telephoto and wide angle lenses are Vivitar lenses, but are good quality. The only criticisms (and only thing that kept it from being 5 stars) is that the tripod is a bit flimsy, and the bag, while good quality, is smaller than expected. After fitting the camera, 1 lens, and the flash, it's full.
Great deal for the price! I am new to the DSLR world so this is a great beginner camera for me. It takes great pictures my only complaint is that even holding as still as you can it can miss good shots trying to focus and almost always has quite a hesitation so that is a little disappointing 🙁 but overall for the price it is a good camera especially for a beginner in DSLR. The tripod is junk and I wouldnt trust my camera on it at all. also the add on flash is useless but everything else is great!
I love my new Canon Rebel T6! As far as the accessories, you get what you pay for. I bought an inexpensive Amazon Basics tri-pod separately, and the difference in quality was astounding. The one I purchased separately was far superior.I haven't tried out the lenses, the remote, or the filters. Having two batteries is nice and I really like the bag. It holds everything (including the lens I purchased separately) and feels secure. If I'd only purchased the camera and bag - it would definitely be 5 stars.
This is an awesome package. I selected this package over similar priced options because it comes with a backpack camera bag instead of a cross bag. The camera takes great pics and package includes all necessary lenses and filters etc. Shipping was fast and item was as described. Thank u
It's really not expensive. I got a large box with both camera and all kinds of fittings inside. The camera is not as heavy as I imagined.I took some pictures yesterday, the photos are satisfied.
Great package deal for the price. Haven't used all the accessories yet, but the camera takes great pictures. Tripod isn't the best, but does the job if you ensure all leg locks are secure. Overall, great beginner photographer starter kit.
Bought this for My wife! It took about 2 hours and she's already got everything figured out and is taking amazing pictures already! Very good quality for an excellent price! Perfect for beginners!!
It's taken awhile for us to learn some of the features, but we're getting there. Took pictures of some flowers in my back yard, and the colors were gorgeous. I hope I can learn everything I need to know about the camera before I get too discouraged. Thank you

Great beginner's bundle! Everything fits and works! Thank God....no nightmare review here.Still learning how to take good pictures as a beginner, but the T6 is very smooth to handle and navigate through. Awesome deal with the 75-300mm zoom lens, which is Canon brand also. Canon bag is useful...for now. But definitely will need a backpack in the future. Flash works fine to me, but not sure what to compare quality to. It's not going to light the street up....It is what it is. Other items were non-critical in purchasing this bundle and I am satisfied with the overall value I received for my hard earned money.I have included some photos regarding the lens zoom distance. I was standing approx 70 ft. from the stop sign and camera setting was on AUTO.1st shot: 18-55 zoomed out all the way2nd shot: 18-55 zoomed in all the way3rd shot: 75-300 zoomed out all the way4th shot: 75-300 zoomed in all the way5th shot: 75-300 zoom lens boxHope this was helpful!
The last SLR camera I had, you'd pop in the film, assign the proper ISO, find the desired shutter speed & fstop combination, and focus and shoot. That was 25 years ago. Things have certainly changed. If you're a real amateur photographer as am I, and you want to learn everything this camera can do before stepping out, you'll never get there. Fortunately there are a multitude of settings that are easy to grasp which will give you great pics. I would heartily recommend getting the "T6 for Dummies" book. It'll get you going pretty quickly. I'm not sure you need everything that this kit contains, but to buy the camera body alone and then get the same stuff a la cart, it's a very good deal. I actually bought two of these kits. The first was for my daughter, and in the week I had it before giving it to her, I read up on the camera and got excited enough about it to get one for myself. Truth is I bought her a different kit because I didn't see this one. Had I seen it, I would have gotten this one instead..more stuff for not much more money, for example, two extra batteries w/charger, bigger sd cards, tripods, wired remote. The only downside is this one isn't eligible for prime, so you'll have to wait 7-10 business days (ships for free via fedex ground from the east coast) to get it. Btw I've talked to the seller's customer service a couple of times and they're very helpful and accommodating.
This is a remarkable bundle and includes most of what someone wanting less than professional grade digital camera. I have had Canon A1 film 35 mm camera for years and have used a Sony small camera along with I Phone and comparing the first pictures from the Canon T6 very pleased. Debated T6i with touch screen but I have found that this meets my needs at significantly less cost. Bought this from Beach Camera and very pleased with their service. Only item to note is that the shorter main lens has a stabilization but the bigger telephone does not. Both are Canon lenses while the other two lens are not. Slave flash will work well when need bounce flash but otherwise the built in flash will work well. Nice to have the two SD cards with large capacity. I found I did not have to format them so assume they came formatted. Having extra batteries very helpful although only the main battery came with cover to protect the gold contacts so I am keeping those in a zip lock bag to protect them.
Happy with this camera package. It's a step up from my older model Fujifilm S6000. I'm a novice with photography and I'm still learning some of the basics of DSLRs. That said, this camera has nicer features and is easier to adjust settings then the Fujifilm. I especially like the wireless communication capabilities, higher memory handling capabilities, the Canon downloadable software that one can use to make adjustments to photos, the filters and other accessories that came with the package including the remote control and table-top tripod all seem to be of decent quality. My one issue I had with this purchase was that the dealer neglected to send the 75-300 mm telescoping canon lens in the original package. I contacted them and they responded the same day as sending the lens out to me and included an extra battery for my troubles. I'm happy with this purchase and the vendor.
I'm a little mixed with my review on this product. If I had purchased the camera as a stand alone product, I would likely have given it five stars. I am definitely a beginner and this camera has been great for learning about photography and being able to capture some great moments with my family. It's lightweight, obviously has interchangeable lenses, it takes great photos and videos. I definitely believe I will be happy long-term with the camera. However, with the bundle costing $549, I think that can be better spent on another bundle or buying just what you need.As a bundle, I would avoid this one. Most Canon Rebel T6 bundles are costing about $549. This one says it is a Video Creator Kit. I chose this one because I was planning on making some short films and figured the Tascam Mic and extended battery pack would be great for doing so. Through some research on the mic, I found that, if bought separately, I would be spending about an extra $120. Other reviews on the mic were good and seemed like it was a great value. The mic should be able to connect directly to the camera so you can record the audio along with the video. However, the Canon T6 does not have a 3.5 mm input. So you must record the audio onto another (not provided) micro sd card and then proceed to match the audio and video in an editing program. Again, I'm a beginner and was not looking for this to take so much work. One other flaw I found was with the additional lenses. Any time I have tried to use them, it creates a black ring around my photos. I am assuming that I must be doing something wrong. But if not, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.You will also need to purchase an additional case for all of the extras that come with this bundle. Some other bundles do come with bigger cases which, if I were to purchase again, I would go that direction.
Canon EOS Rebel T6 DSLR Camera Bundle with Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens + 2pc SanDisk 32GB Memory Cards + Accessory Kit
This Camera Digital SLR Camera Bundle Includes:
Bought it as a gift for my wife and she is thrilled both by the camera itself which is a beauty, but also by the accessories that came with it; all of them are good quality and very complete in order to form a great starter kit for an amateur photographer; great buy, you pay a fraction of the camera's price and get a bunch of great gadgets practically for free! Very pleased, highly recommended for any aspiring photographer!
Came with everything pictured, all of the add on attachments are not Canon brand but they all work and attach to the camera. So excited about this purchase! Such a great deal.
The camera is awsome. Did find the picture a bit misleading. I thought there was 2 batteries but only got one. So if you need more than one battery u may want to order an extra
The is an okay kit, but most of the components don't match the quality of the main item: The camera. The EOS Rebel series is a great camera line to get started, especially if you're not sure yet if you want to do photography as a professional or if you're an amateur and want to do better than "average." The APS-C (or "crop-sensor") cameras are not "full-frame," professional 35mm cameras. They have most of the features of full-frame cameras, but they are usually physically smaller, have a smaller image sensor, and generally don't have quite the image quality of the larger cameras. That doesn't mean that they're bad. In fact, they are great cameras! It just means that there is a loss of quality that, all other things being equal, can be noticed in a number of instances. However, many professional photographers use crop-sensor cameras, either as their primary camera or as a backup. Canon's EOS Rebel line of crop-sensor cameras (like the T-7i, T6, T-5i, T-6i, etc.) are designed for EF-S mount lenses, which from Canon (and a few other manufacturers) is high-quality consumer grade glass, but they also accept most Canon EF mount lenses and even some EF extensions (mostly aftermarket), so professional-quality glass can be used.If you're looking to use this for video, I recommend looking for a T-6i or T-7i kit, since this unit can only use the built-in microphone. I didn't realize this and would have spent the money for the T-6i had I known. The included EF-S 18-55mm IS II lens is a reliable lens with good optics for portraiture, family photos, and most other "everyday use" situations. If you want to do telephoto shots, I recommend the EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS STM lens (which is a huge improvement over the 55-250mm IS II), since there's no focal length overlap. The EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II STM (or the newer USM) is an excellent-quality lens with a wider aperture that's also available for the EOS Rebel line, but it completely overlaps the kit lens. The 18-135mm has roughly half the maximum focal distance of the 55-250mm and is roughly twice the cost, but its overall quality is much better than either the 18-55 or the 55-250. They're all 58mm diameter glass, so the add-ons for the kit lens (like the filters and hood) are all interchangeable. I have a 55-250 and have used it with this camera kit and the quality is good enough for most amateur photographers. As for the rest of the equipment in this bundle, the best of what you're getting are the SD cards (which are reasonably good Class 10 cards suitable for photography and light video work) , the spare batteries, and the optical filters. The card reader is superfluous with most modern PCs but might come in handy on older or low-end computers (some Macs also don't have SD-card readers). The macro and telephoto lenses, while potentially useful in limited circumstances aren't high-quality items; you'll struggle to use them much of the time even with the kit lens, and they're totally impractical for lenses beyond 110mm focal length. The included flash is ultra-simplistic, but useful if you don't already have one. The tripod is cheap plastic and will probably break fairly quickly, but again it's useful if you don't already have (or if you need to save some weight and can't put the money into carbon fiber). The lens hood may come in handy if you've got a lot of glare in one of your shots; I rarely need it but it's been nice to have when I do.Overall, this an inexpensive way to start and it's a reasonably good value considering everything it comes with, but it's not great and much of it will leave a motivated amateur feeling wanting. Many components will end up being replaced and there will be many additions to it over time. Good for a just-starting-out middle/high school student or an amateur with limited time to practice the hobby.
this is an AMAZING starter camera. the bundle is great, comes with 2 batteries and 2 chargers so it'll potentially never be dead, tons of lenses, and tons of other cool stuff. battery lasts a while as well. i have already taken it on 3 vacations.
The camera kit alone would cost more in stores like Best Buy, Target, etc. Yet in this accessory bundle you get a bunch of extra stuff. I haven’t tried each accessory, but I reallly appreciated the two SD cards and the camera bag. As for the camera itself, I think it’s a good beginners camera for those trying to go beyond cell phone photography etc. I’ll attach some of the pictures I took during my first outings. All were taken in auto mode...I’m sure I can get better pics if I learned more about photography and used the manual settings & also purchased better lenses. However, the lens it comes with is great for general photography and to learn as a begginer. Overall im satisfied with this purchase
I LOVE this camera! This is hands down the best camera you can buy for the price. (The Nikon 3400 is a comparable entry-level camera, and may have the edge in some aspects, but I lean toward this camera.) This is totally easy to use, especially if you've used a Canon DSLR before. The add-ons from this seller are mostly good. Considering I paid $30 more for this whole bundle than the current retail price for JUST the body and lens, it's a fantastic value!Pros:- I believe this is the best camera body and lens for the money- The Canon bag can hold everything in this bundle except for the tripod (obviously), but it is a tight fit and takes some practice to pack it efficiently.- Having an extra battery is awesome!- The UHS-I 32GB memory cards are actually SanDisk rather than some cheapo no name card, and each one has a capacity for thousands of full quality JPGs.- The lens attachments and filters are ok.- The remote shutter button is good, especially for tripod shooting to ensure the camera stays steady.Cons:- The tripod is subpar. It's flimsy and I worry it will fall over with the slightest bump. If you plan on using a tripod a lot, buy a different one. But for the occasional (and very careful) tripod user, this will get the job done. Again, this was part of a huge bundle for essentially $30, so I can't complain.
Great camera but a lot of the accessories are not canon. Extra battery wasn’t canon, neither was the extra lens.

Right up front, I am not a professional photog . . . nor can I be considered an amateur photog. I just enjoy taking pictures. I also believe customer reviews are critical. I love shopping on Amazon and I value customer reviews, tremendously. I purchased this bundle to take a step up from my Panasonic Limux digital camera. I love the Panasonic, and have been using it for a couple of years. I enjoy taking macro pictures, but recently started taking pics of birds. I wasn’t getting the quality of pictures I wanted, so a friend told me that I really needed to step up to a DSLR camera. She recommended a Nikon, but the ones she recommended were well over $1,000! Not wanting to spend a paycheck on camera (or get into trouble with my wife), I opted for the Canon Rebel T6. This is the base model, and it really is all that I need. The reason I picked this bundle is b/c the price seemed good ($549) and it comes with a lot of accessories. After receiving the camera, I took everything out, and gave it a once-over to make sure all was good, and accounted for. The reason I give this bundle a 3-star rating is not b/c the camera is bad or cheap. I give it a 3-star rating b/c much of the bundled accessories are either not necessary for what I am doing, or the quality is not really that great. The best parts of the bundle are: 1) camera body (obviously), 2) standard lens, 3) zoom lens (this is great for bird pics), 4) extra battery, 5) battery charger, 6) two 32GB memory cards, 7) macro lenses, and 8) the shutter remote. The less than great parts of the bundle are: 1) the extra battery charger (I have to fiddle with it to get it in the right position so it will charge, if not it will show a green light, indicating it’s charged when it’s not), 2) the tripod (seems VERY flimsy, and almost fell over a few times when I had the camera mounted), 3) the two lens attachments (these did very little to extend the range of the lens or to magnify it for macro shots), 4) the external flash attachment (this is thin plastic and the attached guide sheet is peeling off), 5) lens filter attachments (don’t seem to make much of a positive difference in the pics I’ve taken). All of that said, I really love this camera. I decided to spend a little extra money and get a good tripod and I upgraded the memory cards to two faster 64GB cards. If you are just getting into photography and want a great starter DSLR, I can recommend this camera. I have attached two pictures, both taken side-by-side, where I took a picture of a bird flying to the feeder. Both cameras were on tripods with the setting on action, and zoomed in to the maximum. You can immediately tell how much more clear the Canon picture is compared to the Panasonic.
I love, love, LOVE this kit! I ordered it wearily after some mixed reviews. I've always shot with nikon so this is all new for me.I opened the camera box and was panicked thinking it was a previously used camera because I couldn't find a battery in the box. It was there, I just wasn't looking hard enough. The box was sealed and looked like a factory packed box, but I was still afraid. Before I found the battery, I called Canon tech support and discovered this third part seller (PAGING ZONE) is an authorized seller, so if I ever have a problem with the camera, the warranty is fully intact! So GOOD NEWS for me!The reviews about the tripod were on point... The tripod is ultra lightweight and not really good for much more than table top photography... Even then, BE CAREFUL.The wide angle lenses, was worried they sent me the wrong size, but when I attach any of the lens filters, it fits like a glove... So use a filter. As far as a review involving it breaking the lens, if it doesn't fit smoothly, don't force it. Try removing and rethreading. The only other complaint I have is the sd card reader... It is just a hair too big to fit in the usb drive. I don't know how that happens...The flash is a little weird, but I'm still learning how to use this one....So!Pros:-Camera is from an authorized seller-All the lenses and filters fit-SD cards and extra battery (and charger) work perfectly-this camera takes lovely shots!-The WI-FI transfer to phone or computer it AWESOME!Cons:-Cruddy tripod-USB card reader is a hair too big to fit my USB port...
It's great camera! Our photography teacher says its the most complete bundle he has seen. We love it and it is working very well for our class.
I love this camera. There are a ton of features and I probably need to explore them, but the auto feature is just so easy to use that I haven’t bothered learning more. The only negative thing I have found is the tripod that came in the set. It’s rather flimsy and shorter than I expected. But even with the flimsy tripod, I highly recommend this camera and accessory pack. The two dog pictures that I uploaded are some of the first pictures I took without really knowing what I was doing...great quality for just taking it out of the box.
This is an amazing deal. The camera itself cost more than this in other places so this is great because all the accesories. The flash is a great flash that will 100% brighten your picture but it is very cheap quality and that goes for the tripod aswell. Besides that the camera and the lens are amazing especially for a starter camera.
I love this camera! Takes really good quality pictures, has many different settings, and isn't too heavy! The messenger bag was a little small and definitely didn't hold all the lenses and stuff that came with this camera (I was able to borrow my dad's old bigger camera bag, which is why that wasn't a big deal for me), however the lenses themselves are amazing. The exterior flash is a little weird because it doesn't sit on top, it screws on the bottom, but it works. Also, the tripod is crap - it's very flimsy and unstable, so if that's a real must have for you, then I suggest just going ahead and ordering another tripod. Overall great product though; I'm very pleased with it!
I have never owned a DSLR before this one but I can tell you that this is a good one. If you have been taking photos with your phone and you want an upgrade, but you dont want to spend 2000 dollars this is the camera for you. I got this on my 14th birthday I have had it for 6 months now and it still works great. Its an amazing camera but I can't tell you that this is the one for you, only you can tell yourself that.(P.S. all the photos are mine)
Canon EOS Rebel T6 Digital Camera: 18 Megapixel 1080p HD Video DSLR Bundle with 18-55mm &75-300mm Lenses 32GB (2 x 16GBSD Card) Flash Filter Kit & Bag - Professional Vlogging Sports & Action Cameras

If you're wondering how good a deal this is, I was ready to buy the same model camera body, with JUST the 18-55 and 75-300 mm lenses and the camera bag, for exactly the same price at a big-box warehouse store. I'm really glad I took a breath and did a little online research, because when I found this bundle from Focus I honestly thought it was too good to be true. This is, quite literally, everything I was looking for in moving from my point-and-shoot/phone camera situation into the world of DSLRs. As someone who used to shoot 35mm film as a semi-pro (reporter/photographer for a small newspaper), I can't imagine many folks needing any more than this.First, you just can't beat Canon for overall camera quality at this level - I'd lusted for one back in my film days, but couldn't justify replacing my reliable old Minolta X370. The included Canon lenses will cover nearly all your bases, and the included off-brand wide-angle and telephoto attachments expand the potential for creativity. I recommend this package over others particularly because of the flash - a zoom model with an angled head that's ideal for shooting indoors where lighting is poor and red-eye from a fixed flash is always a danger. With the right configuration the included bag will easily fit everything except the tripod and (maybe) the second (travel) battery charger. Speaking of the tripod, as I already own both a full-size and short tripod, the inclusion of the mini-tripod with the flexible legs was great, since it gives me even more options. Tasty extras like the memory cards, HDMI cable, filter set, side strap, and the USB-compatible SD card reader only add to the value, as they're things that you would probably end up buying separately anyway. Here, it all lands at your door in one box for the same price you'd pay for the camera and lenses somewhere else. I can't stress enough the overall value of this bundle for anyone looking to move into DSLR photography and get started right away.
What an awesome bundled deal! I'm only a beginning photographer, but this is certainly enough to get me up and running!
I have been using this camera for about 3 months now. I am a beginner in the photography world but this camera has certainly helped in making me want to spend a lot of my spare time out taking pictures. Everything that was listed in the bundle arrived exactly as stated. There are few things that I haven't used yet but I'm sure that I will as I have more time to play around (i.e. the filters and the external flash). There were some complaints on the tripod, but really it actually is a nice little tripod. It is short though. Perfect for setting on a table or on the hood of your car for stabilization or for a quick selfie with your family. I had read some complaints about it not holding up the camera but you just have to tighten the neck of the tripod and I have had no problems with it. Not everything that comes in this bundle is canon but I didn't expect it to be with the price that you pay for all of it. The other brand that comes with it is Focus and so far no complaints there either. The bundle came with both the Canon battery and charger but also a Focus battery and charger and I have to be honest that the Focus battery has been better at holding it's charge. If I had one complaint it would be the bag. It is an okay bag but you really can't fit much in it.... it wouldn't stop me from buying this set though. I really have only started to become aware of this issue as I have started adding lenses to my collection and there isn't an inch to spare. My next purchase will be a larger bag. All in all though this is an excellent bundle for the price when you compare it to box store cameras. If you are just starting out or just want a great camera to play with I would highly recommend it!
Wow, what a deal. I can't believe all I got for the cost. My brother is a photographer and he was floored when he saw all I got and the quality of the lenses, filters, sd cards, bad, etc..... The people at Focus followed up with me to make sure that everything was OK. Thank you for everything.
This is the perfect entry level NICE dslr camera. It is perfect for beginners learning the ins and outs of photography while enabling them to take amazing photos with automatic settings. This bundle is well worth it. Some extras I won't even need or use but the flash and extra lenses was a better deal than buying it all separately. Highly recommend!!
Happy with almost everything in the kit. BUT the flash, and the 'tabletop tripod' are jokes. The flash doesn't work at all (feels ultra cheap too) and the table top tripod is so tiny and I don't trust putting my camera on top of it. Other than that, everything is great. Can't wait to really get out there and start using it.
I'm so glad I bought this package. I've already recommended it to a friend who bought one. This is my first DSLR camera so I didn't know what I needed or didn't need. This has everything. I have since bought more memory cards, another 2 batteries/charger and a large tripod but I use most of the accessories on a regular basis (except the fisheye lens).I'd buy a book to go with this because even after watching YouTube videos and using the manual it's still a bit confusing to learn. I bought this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1607748509/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_49 and the Canon EOS Rebel t6 for Dummies book. Like both for different reasons. The Dummies book handles the basics and how to. The other one helps you get gorgeous shots. The quality of my photos and videos is so much higher. I'm still in auto mode but I'm planning to take a photography class and learn manual mode next. My only complaint is that the Rebel t6 doesn't have an external microphone port so we couldn't use our Rhodes mic with it. There may be an adapter but believe me it's a real pain to figure out what might work! Built in audio isn't the best but for now it's good enough. This was a great value and gave me things I didn't know I'd need but do need.

BUILD QUALITYTo start off this review, let’s first take a look at the build quality of this lens. The first thing you’re going to notice is just how small this camera is for a dslr. The T6 is one of the smallest DSLR’s you can buy from Canon and pretty much any company for that matter. But to me, that’s not a bad thing. Being a very lightweight camera can sometimes mean you’re more inclined to pick it up and take it out with you, rather than being worried that’s it’s going to be too heavy. On the top of the camera right here we’ve got all of the buttons that’ you’d expect to see on a beginner dslr and also this mode dial which allows you to select the mode you want to be in.Of course you’ve got all of the basic beginner modes, like sports and portraits etc, but also aperture, shutter and manual modes for when you want to get a little bit more advanced. The buttons on the back are actually pretty nice. I would have preferred to have had the menu and display button on the top however as I use them pretty often. So overall the camera’s build is good for what it is, a lightweight dslr, but i’d always be a little bit careful with this type of body.Oh and guys if you want to see some sample images I’ve taken with the Canon t6, i’ll put a link in the description box below under this video and you can check them out.LCD SCREENSo let’s turn this camera around now and talk about the screen. We’ve got a 3 inch screen on the back which has 920,000 dots and after testing it out for a while, it actually looks pretty good.Even in bright daylight it was actually pretty easy to see.It is however missing something that I really do like to see and that’s an articulating screen.Whereas on cameras like the Canon t6i and t6s, you can swivel your screen around to get better composition, with the t6 your kind of forced to take the photo even if you can’t see the screen. And that’s a bit of a pity to me and something I would have liked to have seen. I also would have liked to have seen a touch screen on the back of this camera, because they’re especially good for beginners. The screen itself is actually pretty nice, but i’d like to see those improvements made in the next camera.MENUSSo let’s quickly talk about the menus on the T6.If you’ve ever used a Canon camera before you’ll feel right at home with the menu system. It’s incredible easy to get around and change the settings you need.A little tip is that if you switch the dial on the top to manual mode, you’ll get a lot more settings that you can change which can be great.Again it would have been nice to have a touch screen to make it quicker to change the settings not eh fly, but this little d pad right here isn’t too bad and it’s pretty responsvie. So overall the menus are good, but make sure to check out more of the fearless in manual mode.WIFI & NFCSo one of the new inclusions to the Canon T6 is wifi & nfc.So essentially what this allows you to do is connect your camera to your phone and do a number of things like transfer your photos and also get a live view of what your shooting. To me this is the perfect camera to have this feature, because it’s targeting a younger generation of users who love to share their photos on instagram and Facebook. It was pretty easy to setup the wifi, but not as intuitive as the 80d that i tested a few weeks ago.BURST MODE & AUTOFOCUSSo let’s talk about the burst mode of the Canon T6.So essentially what this means is how fast the camera can take photos in a row per second. The Canon T6 isn’t super quick and can only shoot 3 shots per second. Now most of the time when you take a photo you’ll only be taking one shot anyway so it won’t make a big difference, but if you want to take some photos at a sports game or of a bird, this might not be the best camera for you.Autofocus in stills mode is actually surprisingly good, it’s snappy and should be fast enough for most situations. Now the lens that comes with the camera isn’t great, and is noisy in autofocus, but if you can get passed the noise, which sounds bit like a bee, it’ll work pretty well in well lit situations.VIDEOSo let’s talk about using this camera for video. It’s pretty basic for video and will be fine for day to day videos.Unfortunately though the autofocus in video isn’t great. The lens that comes in the kit with the t6 isn’t an stm lens, which means it’s not going to have smooth and responsive af in video mode.My tip would be to switch it over to manual focus o the lens and then just shoot like that. One thing howver though which was good to see is that we have full manual control over our video and audio settings.Where as on some older rebel cameras, you could only shoot in auto mode, the t6 does allow to have some manual control. We are missing a microphone jack though unfortunately, so if you are in need of some better audio, I might advise looking at the t6i and t6s.PRICE & VALUE FOR MONEYSo let’s talk about price and more importantly value for money. Now the T6 comes in at $549, which is one of the cheapest DSLR’s you can buy on the market today. You also get a lens with that so all you need to get up and running after that is an sd card and you’re good.To me it’s not a bad price, but there are definitely some very competitive options that I might look at, for example if you pay just a few hundred dollars more you can get a Canon t6i which is very good camera.-So overall the Canon t6 isn’t a bad little camera, and for beginners, it’ll be a lot of fun to learn on. If you’ve never owned a dslr this is a good camera to learn on, but if you want to go a little further with your dslr, I’d definitely be looking at a camera like the Canon t6i or t6s.
I'm a semi-pro photographer. I have a full frame camera that I use for professional shoots which I love dearly, however I wanted an "everyday" camera that I could take everywhere and not be devastated if it gets stolen/broken. Also, I wanted a camera that I could hand off to someone else (like my son or husband) without fear and one that they will actually be able to use. This camera fit the bill perfectly! So a few questions you might have:Should I get the T6 or T5?They are basically the same camera. The only difference is that the T6 has wi-fi and has a Digic 4+ processor whereas the T5 has just the basic Digic 4 and no wi-fi. To me, the wi-fi was not a feature that I would use at all. I take so many photos that transferring them over wi-fi would be a joke. However, the fact that the Digic 4+ is faster and better was what prompted me to go with the T6. Plus, the screen in the back has a better resolution. However, if these features are not a big deal to you, the T5 does present a huge savings and it's basically the same camera.Does it come with software?Yes. But for some reason they didn't include it in the box, nor do they really mention it prominently in the instruction book that comes with it. The software is Canon's Digital Photo Professional (DPP) which is a raw image processor. It comes with a bunch of other software as well and they're pretty powerful/useful. You have to go on the Canon's website to download all this.Does it come with a manual? You would think the answer is an obvious "yes" but actually, no. It comes with a quick start guide that tells you how to use most of the automatic features and how to get started. The guide is great for beginners as it really breaks things down to basics. But you do not get the full camera manual. You have to download that from Canon's web site. (Which is a shame)Should I get this camera?I think if you're a beginner and want to explore photography, you can't go wrong with this. There are so many guided automatic modes that gently help you and the photos from these auto features actually come out really well. There's full automatic where the camera does everything, to semi-automatic where you control several things but the camera does the rest. There is shutter and aperture priority where you want to control most things but still need a helper for aperture or shutter speed. And then there is full manual for when you feel ready to control all things the camera is capable of.When I'm ready to upgrade, what is the next step? The next step to is to get the 50mm 1.8 lens. This will enable you to work with lower available light and give you some awesome background blur. And it's probably the most affordable lens you can possibly buy.All around great camera for a beginner, enthusiasts, or a pro who needs something smaller and lightweight.
