BEHRINGER ULTRACOUSTIC AT108: Ultra-Compact 15-Watt Acoustic Instrument Amplifier with VTC-Technology and Original 8" BUGERA Speaker. Extremely versatile 2-channel acoustic instrument amplifier. Powerful 20-Watt, 8'' dual-cone BUGERA speaker for wide frequency response. Additional microphone...

I read the reviews, watched YouTube videos, etc. Wanted an affordable simple acoustic amp for my daughter and purchased this BEHRINGER ULTRACOUSTIC AT108. Good size, simple features, plenty of volume (but super touchy volume controls)....the problem I have is the quality of the sound which IMO is horrible. Had I not thrown out the packaging prematurely I would have sent this thing right back for a refund. I keep trying to talk myself into thinking its adequate for her, but every time I plug into it I get super frustrated and feel guilty. I'll probably get to a point where I sell it for a loss. Point being, spend a few more dollars without breaking the bank for really decent sound and features. The Yamaha THR5a blows away this BEHRINGER AT108 in every possible way but is twice the money although still in the affordable and portable amp category.

Very happy with this amp. Paired it with a Yamaha Acoustic-Electric and a Vox Acoustic 13' cable. Produces clear, clean sound. Very compact and lightweight. Includes 3-band equalizer controls (Low-Mid-High) and inputs for microphone (XLR connector), instrument (guitar/keyboard), CD or other auxiliary device input to facilitate practicing along with other sources, and headphones. Obviously at only 15 watts this is not going to blow the doors off your room, but it has plenty of oomph to power the dual-cone 8" speaker without distortion. Great for practice, but I even could see using this in a smaller professional setting.

Quality amp for my Martin - I use it in church for our morning contemporary worship service. It is plenty loud (not going for an all out rock concert). The quality is superb, considering the price. I've read tons of reviews on this amp for acoustic guitars and have found this to meet every expectation. I have the treble and bass up a bit and keep the mid on 2; this cuts out distortion. I've never used the microphone jack, but use the other input jack for playing pads (background sounds) through my iPhone. I highly recommend it for acoustic guitars.

This acoustic amp works maybe for small bedroom practice sessions, but projecting out to a small gathering or small church group, I would recommend something with a bit more power and fidelity. My Epiphone guitar sounds reasonable through it, but to me, it just seems to lack fidelity. That is the best I could explain it. I will keep the unit, but I think for the price, there may be better sounding amps out there for the money. The unit does appear to be built well and would probably hold up under reasonable use. Just the sound of the unit failed to impress me!

This is again a case of "You get what you paid for". Having read so many reviews I decided to give it a try but there is no there there. Weak and somewhat noisy, hum and hiss with no real presence. There was scratchiness in the pots and just no magic at all. Rather flat sounding. I tried it with a nylon string Antonio Hermossa solid body with preamp and piezo pick up and with the acoustic channel of my Godin A6 Ultra. Both guitars sound better through my Vox VT20+ electric guitar amp by a wide margin. My goal with this amp was to be able to take the acoustic channel from the Godin through this amp and the humbucker output through the Vox and mix the sound but this amp just has no presence. To compound my error my recycling day happened to fall on the day after it arrived and I recycled the boxes before evaluating it, my bad, but now I am stuck with it. I may try it with my keyboard.I will now save up my pennies and buy a decent Fishman and hope I can use this as something other than a door stop.

Anyone who does not rate this Behringer acoustic amplifier a 5 star product has little knowledge about live sound. We need to first remember this two channel, 15 Watt 'acoustic sounding' amplifier is available for only $99. At $99, it has a really good sound, a better sound than $99 should produce. For a home practice amplifier it provides what should be desired, at a low level of 3 out of 10 on volume, it fills the room and then some. I would believe it would be fine for amplifying in a smaller church setting as well. What it does not have is 'reverb' or 'depth' adjustment capability to help 'fill' that church area or for live small bar venues, but spending $99 one shouldn't expect that. Is there a little bit of speaker hum at louder volume levels, yeah, especially without an instrument plugged in, but that is found in any live sound amplification system. If you just need an acoustic sounding amplification, this will more than do it. If you're looking to do more professional sounding live sound activity, spend 3 times this.

This is a nice small amp. It delivers nice, pure sound at more than loud enough levels for me. One thing I like about this amp is that it is very simple, not a bunch of complicated settings to worry about. Another thing, I think it's the nicest looking amp I have and I have about 10 amps now. It's about the same size as my little Fender Frontman 15 and sits side-by-side with it in my living room. I use the Fender for electric and the Behringer for the acoustic for practicing. If you're looking for a no frills amp that doesn't cost a lot or take up much room, this is a good one for you.Makes a great little practice amp. I am totally happy with this one and see no need to add an additional acoustic amp.Mine looks a lot different than the photo, it's more brown and actually looks better.

Our family home evenings are way cooler now. Kids take turns reading with a mic attached to this or giving talks or singing. It's a hoot. Probably will buy more if I get a few more mics so they can sing together.
